上星期家里聚会，长辈们都在聊天或者帮忙做饭，而我因为不会做饭，所以就负责照看小表弟。我并不 是很擅长和小孩子交流，而他又不停地缠着我让我给他读故事书听。最后，到开饭之前，我给他读了差不 多十本童话故事书，他虽然没有认真在听，但却又不许我停下来，整个过程无聊到我快要崩溃了。
Well, this happened last week, when we had a family reunion party at my place. You know what it’s like on such occasions, everybody gets together, and the elderly talk with each other, or help out in the kitchen. I, however, know nothing about cooking, like, at all. So naturally I was in charge of taking care of my young cousin, which, I must say, I’m not terribly good at. You see, I’m the second youngest in my generation, and this cousin of mine doesn’t visit us a lot. So, I have a lot of experience being taken care of, not the other way around(而不是反过来的情况). Well, anyway, I was trying my best by asking him what he wanted to do. My cousin, this cute little rascal(可爱的小坏蛋), told me that he wanted me to read some stories for him. And that’s what I did. You know, Chinese stories like Sherrif Black Cat, or foreign ones like Perrault's fairy tales, you know, sleeping beauty and stuff like that. I read one story after another, but he wasn’t just sitting there listening to me. Instead, he actually was playing with toy cars in the meantime, but he wouldn’t allow me to stop. I mean, I can almost recite(背诵) all those stories myself. Wasn’t it you who wanted to listen to them? Well, you can’t argue with a kid, can you? So I just kept reading them until dinner was ready, which literally saved my throat. By that time I’d finished about ten storybooks, and with my little audience regarding me as no more than background music(背景音乐), it was just tedious.

二、雅思口语part2考试内容
思口语part2考试约3-4分钟，考生需要与考官之间进行一对一交流，并针对某熟悉话题进行阐述以及针对该话题的讨论，答题中考官将对考生的英语口语水平进行考察。
雅思口语part2考察能力：
雅思口语part2主要考察考生(在没有任何其它提示的情况下)就一个特定的话题进行较长时间的陈述的能力，考察考生是否能恰当地运用语言、是否能连贯地组织自己的观点。考生有可能需要联系自己的经历来完成这部分内容。
雅思口语part2考试流程：
1、考官会交给考生一个答题任务卡、铅笔和草稿纸做笔记
2、考生有一分钟的准备时间(如笔记)，然后需就此话题进行1到2分钟的陈述，陈述过程中考生可以以此使用不同的口语表达技能，雅思口语part2考试将会被录音。
3、考官会在2分钟后打断考生，并在最后提问一两个问题作为结束语
4、考官将在口语考试全程对考生表现进行评分。
三、雅思口语备考技巧
1、提前准备适合自己的口语高分词汇
在备考的时候，准备一些常用的7分雅思词汇和雅思技巧，在适当的时候脱口而出，会给你的考试增光添色，同时要在考前的练习过程中，掌握好paraphrase的方法，因为在雅思考试的过程中，由于紧张或者是本身词汇的匮乏，在自己不会的单词上面会卡壳，而雅思口语是相对比较灵活的，在这种情况下，需要我们用其他的话去替代那个卡壳的点，这样你的雅思口语就会顺畅、自然。
2、灵活应对雅思口语考试中的话题
雅思考试中的话题有很多，疑难话题是大家拿到雅思口语满分的最大障碍，当你在雅思考试的时候，遇到的题目是从来没有见过的，或者是自己比较生疏的话题，需要你灵活转换，但是当你无法做到灵活转化的时候，那就需要说一个最容易而且最能说出内容的话题。
3、充分利用考试中笔记记录
雅思口语考试中的一张纸，就是第二部分开始的时候，考官会给你一张纸和一支笔，让你在思考的时候可以做一些笔记，有些考生觉得做笔记没什么意义，因为做完了之后，说的时候还是和笔记大相径庭，这说明考生在下面练习的时候没有很好的掌握通过看笔记说英语的习惯，因此在考场上才会觉得笔记没太大作用。
4、调节心理状态，不畏惧，不胆怯
雅思考试注重的是语言的应用性，因此在考场中的状态和心态对你的考试起到了举足轻重的作用，大部分的考生都没有参加过这样的口语考试，因此在考前对考试存在一种惧怕感，总是担心自己见到老外之后，可能会说的都会变成不会说的，这就是一种考试障碍，所以需要大家把自己的心态放平稳，一定要把雅思口语考试当成是一个和考官的谈话，是和一个陌生人的谈话，仅此而已。把自己想说的，能说的，全都表达出来。
四、怎样提高雅思口语
雅思口语的备考期间推荐大家结合学习软件来进行，分享一下我在用的app：留小留，可以随时和世界各地的Native Speaker进行一对一的口语对练，里面有很多专业的雅思外教可以选择，而且还有前雅思高级考官，强烈建议考试前跟雅思考官模拟测试一下。这个软件用起来就跟打微信语音／视频电话一样，质量很清晰。这个是最让我感到意外且性价比超级高的一个APP了。我长期练习的一个外教陪练是英国的Leila，她不仅口音纯正，而且人超级nice，她本人还是一个摄影师，我也经常跟她交流摄影方面的技巧。
大家在和外教练习雅思口语的时候，我有2个建议：1是提前准备一个话题，带着话题去跟他们练习能让你学到很多地道的表达；2.是不一定非要选择欧美的老外，像有些南非、菲律宾的也很专业，练习口语也不错。
