一、如何练习托福口语
1.大量的去看口语书、多看原版电影，越生活化的越好
从电影中大量的搜集日常的对话，把它们说得要像说自己的名字那样娴熟，要说得像“What's your name?Thank you!"那样自然，然后你要对你的家人说，你不会对你的爸爸、妈妈说话也羞涩吧?你说出一句英文，你告诉他们你的中文意思就可以。这样还能练习的你的中英互换。然后同样的句子，你对你的朋友说，因为她们不会笑话你说错了，谁都知道说好英语是件非常不错的事情。这样，针对不同的人说同样的话，慢慢地你会减少恐惧感，说话会比较自然、流利了。既然你能和别人说好中文，就一定能说好英文。
2.找一张自己最喜欢的原版电影
你把台词写出来，然后自己当演员，比如说像《罗马假日》，你就当那个公主，当你的大臣、还有偶然遇到的那个男主角和你说话的时候，你就做出公主的回答。一个人在家里练习，没人会笑话你的。
各种电影中有各种不同的英语口音，你又是在跟这些国际明星对话，那是多么的了不得!大街上一个区区平常的外国人你还在意吗?“咱是跟明星天天说话的主儿!”只要环境熟悉了，说话也就不紧张了。无非就是个熟练程度的问题。
还有，如果你真的碰到了外国人，刚开始紧张也很自然，外国人也是知道这点的。他们也会放慢语速和你交流的，说上几句适应了，你也就不紧张了，然后你告诉他(她)平时很少能和外国人交流，所以说英语势必会紧张一些，甚至有的不会说。他们能够理解。如果说他们不理解，你就直接说你那最纯正、最流利的汉语，说得他们晕头转向，照样很了不起!
二、新托福口语的考试内容
新托福口语部分共有6题，持续时间约20分钟。有两种题型，分别为独立任务（Independent Task）和综合任务(Integrated Task)。对于这两种题型，下面分开介绍：
（一)独立任务（Independent Task）
第一题和第二题属于独立任务。准备时间均为15秒，答题时间均为45秒。
第一道题，要求考生根据personal experience来答题，即题目涉及的都是与个人生活息息相关的问题，考生需要根据自身经历表达自己的观点并解释原因。如：1. Describe a person whom you would like to spend time with.
2. Talk about an important experience that you recently had.
第二道题，要求考生做出personal choice，即题目为两个相反的事物或两种不同的观点，考生需要从中选择一个并解释原因。如：1. Some students would prefer to live with roommates. Others would prefer to live alone. Which option would you prefer and why?
2. State whether you agree or disagree with the following statement. Learning through online courses is more effective than learning in the traditional classroom setting.
(二)综合任务(Integrated Task)
第三、四、五，六道题均为综合题。第三，四题准备时间均为30秒，答题时间均为60秒。第五，六题，准备时间均为20秒，答题时间均为60秒。
第三题，集合了读，听，说的形式，也就是先阅读一篇短文，听一段对话，然后回答问题。此题相当于模拟大学校园生活。阅读短文为一个自然段，75-100个单词，阅读时间为45秒。听力材料是两个学生的对话，是对阅读短文中提出的问题的评论，听力时间为60秒-120秒。
第四题，集合了读，听，说的形式，也就是先阅读一篇学术性材料，听一个讲座，然后回答问题。此题相当于模拟大学课堂。阅读材料为75-100个单词的长度学术性材料。听力材料是教授在课堂上通过举例子的形式讲解阅读材料中的术语。
第五题，集合了听、说的形式。听力时间为60秒-120秒，它是一道情景题，以problem + solution模式展开对话，即学生之间谈论学习生活中遇到的某个problem，并提出solution(s)。
第六道，集合了听、说的形式。它是一个教授所做的讲座，讲座以现象+举例的模式展开，即教授先介绍某个学术现象，然后通过举例进一步解释此学术现象。
三、托福口语范文
1.The thing I often take up in my leisure time is surfing the internet. The information on the internet can enable me to understand the world better. And it helps me to become a more successful person. When I was selecting which university and which major to take after I graduated from the high school, the internet gave me a lot of useful information about the future of some of my prospective professions. I even talked with several people in those particular professions and got their opinions about it. And I think it is really helpful. (96)
2.The one that I personally admire the most is a character named Alan Shore in a TV series called Boston Legal. Maybe you have heard about it. This character has changed my definition of what a perfect man is and what characteristics one should hopefully possess. He is decent, a man of his word, one of the very few that I regard as having a strong sense of justice. Yet he is not bound up by the rules and knows when to break them to achieve the ultimate good. And he is interesting and eloquent, all the things that I desire to have. (103)
3.The most important invention in my life is definitely the computer. I spend almost half of my waking hours on it. Definitely the computer，through the computer I can communicate with the world using the internet. And it helps me to become a more successful person.
